What a dumb game. Not even sure I’m gonna watch it to be honest. Who cares about these teams? They are two stupid, ugly teams with absolutely no fans, especially UNC. What losers. The game doesn’t even start until 9:20PM, which should give you even less reason to care. People have work you know.
And that’s no bias at all. I’m not saying this because I’m a Duke fan, or because I wanted nothing more than revenge on the Tar Heels, or because it’s super embarrassing they lost again, or because I would have won over $600 if they won. It’s literally none of those things at all. If you know me, you know I tell it exclusively like it is.
Whatever.
The Final Four wasn’t exactly kind to the boys. “Big Daddy“ Frye had the play of the round, cashing UNC -2.5 alternate. Dumb bet honestly, should have been a loser. Here’s how we did:
- Pete: UNC +4.5/Nova +4.5 (L/L)
- Chase: Duke -4 (L)
- Frye: UNC -2.5 alt
- Bates: UNC team total U74.5 (L)
- Brad: Duke ML (L)
- Derek: UNC +4.5
- Tuna: Nova ML (L)
- Sam: Both unders (L/L)
- Rolly: Duke/UNC O151 (L)
- Parker: UNC ML
- Mike’s Kid: UNC ML
An overall 6-8 performance, which could have been a lot worse. Tough day for Sammy, taking losses on both unders. Traded them for a big win at the altar on his wedding day instead. I should have known Duke was dead when Mike’s son’s literal first words as a 24 hour old human being were “UNC ML” and yet I still had home for some reason. Now, it’s time for our last picks of the tournament:
- Pete: KU-4
- Chase: KU -9.5 alt
- Frye: KU -4
- Bates: Manek O2.5 threes made
- Brad: UNC ML
- Derek: UNC +4.5
- Tuna: KU -5.5 alt
- Sam: *hammered in Jamaica*
- Rolly: UNC +4.5
- Parker: U152
- Mike: KU first half -2
There we have it. The boys are ALL OVER Kansas, which could be an absolute disaster if we aren’t careful. Now I’m naturally never biased, but especially here. Kansas is fresh, healthy, and just blew out one of the best defensive teams we’ve seen. UNC is coming off an emotional hangover, and will probably have some trouble getting to the intensity levels they got to Saturday night. Tack on Bacot’s leg injury, and in my estimation a level of disgust from the Kansas players who have had their incredibly run over shadowed by the rivalry nonsense on the other side of the bracket, and I think the Jay Hawks are simply out for blood.
Here’s to a hopefully worth it finale for having to stay up this late. Rock Chalk.
